I got this book today as a free download. It is kind of a longish short story, or maybe a novella.I read it all and it was moderately enjoyable, but not that great so I gave it two stars.
The basic premise of a scumbag lawyer who finds he has a terminal disease who goes nutty and starts to kill off bad guys who failed to get the justice they so richly deserved had a lot of promise. But, the premise was maybe the best part of the story.
First off there were a number of writing errors. Mostly wrong words. My guess is they were auto corrected or spell checked to the wrong word. Not enough that it ruined the story, but quite noticeable. There were also some grammar issues, and other writing errors here and there, but nothing that totally overwhelmed the story. But again, they were noticeable. And that takes away from any book for me.
But the real problem with the book is the main character. He is such a caricature that he is just not believable to me. Everyone this guy has dealt with over the years including his wife and two of his kids are just as scummy as he is, including cops, judges, priests, financial guys, other lawyers. Just about anyone he comes in contact with deserves killing.
The nicest guy in the bunch is a mercenary assassin he enlists to help him out.
That and none of what he did was plausible either. The bad guys just don't let you off them.
I think if the thing had gone on longer I might well have quit on the book and it would have gotten the one star treatment.
I think it could be cleaned up and made into a much better piece, maybe just a short story. But as is, I cannot really recommend it. But as a little light reading it is not awful.

There's some typos and bad grammar, but they don't detract from the Hate and Anger that runs throughout this book!
