An amazing read that leaves you wanting to know more about the Bliss secret agents and their exciting lives. A fast-paced and action filled romance that is perfect for a lazy summer afternoon or even to snuggle up with on a cold winter night.
I usually like Lynsay Sands very much, finding her work easy to read with interesting characters. That was not the case here. I forced myself to continue reading, hoping it would get better. It didn't. I finished the book, but it was a struggle.
I have read Lyndsay Sands' Argeneau series. I was hoping this would be as good. I didn't find it quite as entertaining, but it was unexpectedly close, and I would definitely read more in this series--even though the characters aren't immortal!
I really enjoyed this book and I will look forward to many adventurers with Jane and Abel. They are very good togethdr
I like the way she developed her characters and stories. I like a good ending with a few twist. I follow her main characters and like to see them in following stories . Like meeting old friends.
I love Lynsay Sands and her comedy, so when I saw this ebook, I had high hopes for it. The first chapter read great, despite the scene where the heroine uses a vibrator as a fake microphone to sing along to "Whip It". I thought that was a bit redundant because a lot of her books use variations of this type of comedy. However, after the first chapter, the writing falls flat her and there, and it frustrates me that the heroine is a strong female character and a spy, yet is portrayed as incompetent and A bit rediculous at times. I also didn't like how she becomes the respected hero at the end, but her accomplishments are skewed when her and Abel decide to marry, and he basically says she is great mother material--as if that is the ultimate accomplishment for her. I felt a bit disappointed about this ebook. I would like to have seen a strong female character continue to be strong throughout and not be dogged down by stereotypical whimsical fancies.
Love Lynsay Sands but I thought this book was just okay. Usually I finish her books in one day because I can't put the book down but that wasn't the case this time. The characters were okay, the story was okay, the whole thing was okay. Some of it was predictable and I felt like some of it dragged. I look forward to the next Argeneau novel, which I love, but I don't think I'll be purchasing another book in this series. Sorry Lynsay...I'm still a big fan!
